I am at two with nature

Date March 5, 2003

Today was a complete blur, which upon some reflection, seems now to have consisted of nothing more than fuzzy, fleeting memories and recollections of bottomless email inboxes, mountains of paper, and endless streams of anxiety causing events. Put your cursor in the middle of this webpage and you might have an idea of how close I was to having an aneurism, or embolism, or some other kind of ‘ism today. It was like Woody Allen meets Dilbert in an Oliver Stone production. Sheer and utter madness.

:: This one is for Randy, a.k.a. Big R. The Most Significant SF & Fantasy Books of the Last 50 Years, 1953-2002. IMHO, number 10 on the list is my favorite (and just for the record, I own this same edition which also has one of the best designed book covers I have come across). However, outside of the Potter and Gandalf chronicles, I haven’t really read many others on the list.

:: Have you taken a look at Bursts - the newest tool for tracking what’s hot and what’s not in the world of blogging.

The Daypop Top 40 is a list of links that are currently popular with webloggers from around the world. Check out the Daypop Top News Stories for the top news articles of the day. The Daypop Top Word Bursts is an indicator of current events of interest that are not usually accompanied by links.

A visit to the news list brought me up to speed on a number of pressing issues, such as the Michael Jackson-’I put a curse on you’-Stephen Spielberg saga. Honestly. We could avert this whole damn war thing and go back to bein’ peace lovin’ folk if we just got him to mutter a few words in Saddam and George’s direction. Sorry Michael, I was in your corner through the glitter glove and the multiple zipper outerwear years, but I’m afraid I just don’t get you anymore. Showin’ how funky and strong is your fight. I guess it doesn’t matter who’s wrong or right. Just…yeah, you know the rest.
