A few weeks ago now, I had to decide whether I would renew my domain name for this blog or just kill it off. I must admit the temptation was there to simply pull the plug on it and in less than dramatic fashion, let it slip away into the depths of […]

Midweek fun - You Don’t Know Jack
March 20, 2007
I was thrilled to hear about a resurrection of the hilarious computer trivia game, You Don’t Know Jack. Give the online version a try thanks to their handy dandy embedable code (assuming RSS doesn’t monkey it all up)…!
Web 2.0 For Lunch
February 19, 2007
MySpace is a bit like that crazy uncle that never could match his shirt to his pants. Unfortunately, I can’t embed this cartoon that pokes fun at it, but I can link to it for your Sunday Monday evening viewing pleasure.
[it was a holiday long weekend in Alberta so it felt like Sunday!]

Today’s smile:
Not quite as good as the Starbucks “Glenn and Roy” ad, but a close second…
[tags]funny, spoof, parody[/tags]
Added:The You Tube embedded clip may not have made it into the RSS feed. At least, I’m not seeing in NetNewsWire. I’ll have to dig a little to find out how that works. For now, you […]
Connecting the Dots: Social Software and the Social Nature of Libraries
May 12, 2006
I’m in the process of cleaning up *everything* today — from half-finished projects to various tasks too long the victim of my procrastination. Yes, even my overflowing inbox of messages, all awaiting some kind of action by me, was addressed in some way (hitting the “delete” key became the fate of many). As part […]
On the circuit
May 9, 2006
I started writing the following post about three weeks ago but it was never completed. Life has been a bit of a whirlwind lately with conferences and other work projects dominating most of my time. Like many fellow bloggers, I think there is something too that comes with the transition from winter to spring that […]
Four reasons I didn’t get to posting this earlier…
February 16, 2006
Now that everyone and their dog has had a chance to post their “four things” list to their blogs, I’ve decided to answer Peter’s call (tag) and join the party. The least I can do is respond to him, given that he kindly agreed to write an article on wikis for an upcoming publication I’m […]
Wordpress Print Plugin
January 16, 2006
Having at one time been labeled a “loser” in Walt Crawford’s article on the printability of blog postings (a point well deserved ;)), I thought it worthwhile to install the WP Print Plugin to my site (note: newest plugin version *is* compatible with WP 2.x) . If I remember correctly, I think I had actually […]
Upgrade to Wordpress 2
January 10, 2006
I wouldn’t exactly say it was painless, but using the much clearer set of instructions found at T2 (definitely recommended) and a bit of fiddling I’m now running the latest version of Wordpress.
Take their word for it and backup both your database and MT root directory. It came in handy.
